About Me:

I’m David. I’ve been driving since 2015. I did sort of every kind of transportation except for heavy haulage. I started off with delivering roofing sheets on 30m extended trailers. Working with the pilots, managing tight places, as well as using a hiab crane to deliver standard size roofing sheets to various sites such as construction sites. After that i started on doing interstate linehaul with a b double tautliner dropdeck mezz. Delivering general goods, white goods and dangerous goods ( not bulk). Throughout we started taking trailers in a triple road train combination for ABC transport and Centurion from Port Augusta through Marla, alice springs, tenant creek all the way up to darwin from depot to depot. Besides to that i was doing twice a week a changeover in Tarcutta, nambucca heads or Nhill if the time suited with the other drivers. At the moment i am doing container work on b and a doubles. Reversing into docks as well as splitting is part of the job.

    Interstate Linehaul Driver: Delivering general freight, dangerous goods, white goods and oversized pipes and roofing sheets in tautliners, Pantech, flat top and extendable trailers. Main deliveries were from Toowoomba to Darwin in an A triple road train. Loaded and unloaded trailers with a forklift if no one is on site. Managing deadlines for deliveries as well as planning trips. Another part of the job was doing an express run from Sydney to Perth in either a B double or B triple. Occasionally delivering 25-metre-long pipes on extendable trailers from Melbourne to Tom Price was part of the job as well. Currently employed at Nationwide from 6/6/21 Delivering goods for various companies such as Linfox, Toll, Northline, SNR, Bagtrans, Fedex, Dhl, Woolworths and Aldi in single and double drop decks as well as straight decks tautliners. Part of the job is to distribute weights of each pallet on the trailers as well as restraining them according to the NHVR correctly. Splitting trailers, reversing into finger docks and performing pre-starts on truck and trailers are a daily task. Upkeep/cleanliness of the truck. Availability Day and night shifts flexible Monday to Friday
