  Valve Technician / Trades Assistant: Melbourne Work Shop Responsibilities and Achievements: • Working to OH&S Procedures & Standards. • General Workshop / Outdoor Maintenance / Cleaning Duties • Pack Finish Goods onto pallets. • Delivery of Finished Goods, Vehicle 8 tonne Tray Truck. • Use of 5 Tonne Overhead Cranes. • Industrial Sandblasting. • Spray Painting to Customer Paint Spec, using 2 Pack paints. • Deliver Finished Products to Customers (1-8 tonne Truck) • IVMS driver monitoring system, travelled 35000 plus Kilometres without any exceptions. • Using Machinery as required Lathes, Drills, Mills, various hand tools • Other equipment such as Oxy Acetylene for heating and cutting • Use of Overhead Cranes, Block and Tackles to assist removal and Installation of Valves • Testing Pressure Safety Valves, (PSV). • Hydro Testing Valves • Dismantle, Lap and Reassemble damaged PSV to working order. • Maintaining records, Paper & Electronic. Onsite Work (On and Off-shore sites): • Santos, Moomba Gas Field • Mobil Refinery, Altona. • Australian Paper Mill, Fairfield. • BHP Minerva Gas Plant, Port Campbell. • Mobil Refinery Altona. • Newport Power Station On-site Responsibilities and Achievements: • On-site work in a Variety of different • Working to OH&S Procedures & Standards • Liaise with Site Supervisor, Permit Authorities, Plant Operators & Planners, on a daily basis, as to new orders, ongoing concerns and suggestions, and general inquires. • Working under the Permit to Work Systems • Constructing JHA, performing Step Back, Take 5 & safety reviews • Working to work pack instructions, reading P&ID drawings • Maintaining records, Paper & Electronic (Maximo) • Checking Isolation prior to job start • Perform various tasks, Forklift Driving • Removal & Installing of Valves & Blind using correct Flange Alignment Technique, Bolt Tension procedures • Hydro Testing Valves • Testing Pressure Safety Valves, (PSV) • Dismantle, Lap and Reassemble damaged PSV to working order • Vehicle Maintenance • General Workshop Maintenance.
