Truck and Dog Driver: Key responsibilities Moving construction materials on the Woolgoolga to Ballina Highway upgrade for CPB Contractors Pty Ltd, as part of the NSW Government highway upgrade project. I conducted daily safety inspections of the truck and trailer. Daily distance covered in this role was between 200 - 350 kms. The truck type was an Iveco Powerstar with a Cursor 430 engine and Eton manual 18 speed gearbox. As part of this employment I was required to do the training for the 'Chain of Responsibilities' for transport operators/drivers as laid down by CPB Constructions, the primary Contractor.

Truck and Dog Driver: Qualify National Key responsibilities Doing pick-ups and deliveries to various locations in the central west of NSW, and around the Sydney and Newcastle areas. Most of my deliveries were to retail locations or factories, however there was some quarry and sub-division pick-ups and deliveries. The reason for leaving this company was that it went into Receivership. With this company I was driving a mix of truck types. There was an auto transmission Mack Vision, as well as other Mack, Sterling and Freightliner brands, all with manual Eton brand gearboxes. All of the truck models were conventional type, and all were built to haul either 3 or 4 axle dog trailers.

HC Truck Driver/ Labourer: Key responsibilities Off-siding on drilling rigs. Truck movement from job to job. There were various truck makes involved in this role, and all were using manual Eton brand gearboxes. Because of the nature of the work safety inspections and adherence to Work Method Statements was paramount. Operation of truck mounted crane equipment (Hiab type). In addition, there was the use of hand and power tools, without breach of safety.

This involves the use of vehicle lift accessories for wheelchairs. As part of my role I was also assigned the task of assessing new drivers when they first came to the Organisation.

RTO Standards Warrant Officer: Key responsibilities In this role I had dual accountability responsibilities. The first was to my Commanding Officer in providing him with guidance and advice on all matters concerning training, instructor development and safety of trainees under his command at the training establishment. On average there were 1800 trainees per year pass through this school with some of the training being provided by external agencies. Further to this I was required on occasion to attend and deliver specialist training at various locations within Australia. I was also required to manage the 168 training and support staff assigned to the school in relation to their Vocational requirements. Over a 4-year period I managed the conversion of 397 trainers from the old training system TAA08 across to the TAE10 Training and Assessment qualification. The second role was to report to the Army RTO section on matters relating to training packages, trainee attendance issues, training results and outcomes. Summary of my role's key responsibilities and accountabilities. â—¦ Develop and execute instructor development programs and strategies, â—¦ Maintain a database of all training conducted and qualifications issued, â—¦ Coach and mentor instructional staff, â—¦ Manage training packages, evaluate training sessions and results and compile reports, â—¦ Deliver specialist training at external locations within Australia, â—¦ Active and intense involvement in the school's WH&S committee which also included advising soldiers on return to work or career change issues and programs. Key achievements In this role my key achievements were: - â—¦ Coordinated an audit of the training establishment's RTO requirements and pass the audit with high results for compliancy, â—¦ Coordinated an audit of the training establishment's WH&S system and once again pass with high results for compliancy.
