MC Driver / Operator: Key Responsibilities: â— Responsible for safely operating Kenworth K100 trucks and container trailers in the line haulage of container freight from depot to port and back to depot ensuring compliance with all Australian road rules, legislation and regulations whilst adhering to signage and changing driving to suit weather conditions â— Ensure accuracy when completing all log book checks and entering all data into computerised systems including SAP at the end of each shift and compiling reports for management â— Effectively planning and managing routes for transport with strict adherence to safety, schedules, changes in traffic, road rules and regulations to ensure KPI objectives were met â— Displaying exceptional communication skills verbal, written and interpersonal when liaising with clients, supervisors and other operators regarding schedules, changes and reporting any relevant safety information or updates to schedules â— Utilising the correct P.P.E for the task such as masks, gloves, steel cap boots and hi-vis clothing â— Participate in positive two-way radio communication with other operators and SIMOPS and client depot's â— Complete detailed prestart and end of shift checks of all trucks and equipment, fuelling and refuelling, checking tyres, communication systems, air , twist locks, fluid levels, electrics, isolations and performing general maintenance as required â— Participating and contributing to daily team pre-start meetings liaising with management and supervisors to relay any relevant safety information or updates â— Providing effective leadership to achieve business objectives by fostering a culture where safety is a core value, adhering to company and site safety procedures including JHA's, SOP's and hazard identification and reporting
