  LEADING HAND / MECHANICAL FITTER / BOILERMAKER: Contracted to QGC QCLNG Surat Basin / Decmil Project # 50101 - 5270 Coal Seam Natural Gas Project - Fly In / Fly Out (FIFO) Roster - 4 Weeks On / 1 Week Off Key Responsibilities: ➢ Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in the new infrastructure construction installations/ system commissioning and maintenance requirements of LNG processing plants and associated pipe lines ➢ Supervision of staff (up to 10 Tradespersons), the delegation of daily duties and ensure all work is conformed to quality, time and productivity company requirements ➢ Attend and facilitate morning pre-start toolbox meetings ➢ The installation of gas / water separator packages including marking out pads and crane lifts into position ➢ Completion of Quality Assurance, Inspection and Test Records paperwork ➢ The drawing up, fabrication, welding, installation and field measuring of pipe spools and torque flanges ➢ Installation of DB valve skids and hydraulic pumping units ➢ Shutdowns on the Gas Plant including removing of valves and spooling (2 inches to 72 inches), fabricating and reinstating within limited timeframes ➢ Installation of cable trays and cables ➢ Attend breakdown repairs to ensure continuity of operations ➢ Completion of all associated paperwork including daily reports, timesheets and scheduling ➢ Liaise with management, clients, Mechanical and other team members ➢ Completion of Job Safety Analyses (JSA's), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Take 5's ➢ Completion of site assessments, risk assessments and hazard identification ➢ Required to read isometric and structural plans ➢ The provision of technical support to staff and advise on any issues that they are unable to resolve ➢ Implementing and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors and that they are in compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations
