MCKILLIOP FAMILY SERVICES
INDIGENOUS TRAINEESHIP COORDINATOR: Our daily duties were to develop a traineeship model that worked over two organisations to help young Aboriginal people obtain employment and work-life skills on the job. The achieved this by engaging in their traineeships over a 12-month basis of their employment whilst obtaining a certificate III in business. This involved project planning on how the program will work across the locations and how to deliver the desirable outcome by working with the program teams. We had to plan how to manage their 12 month progression outlining duties and training requirements for the role, as part of the project we applied for federal government funds and then budgeting wages, the program and other income that will assist the project.
