Owner Builder
Project Manager, Builder, Trade Assistant.: I project managed and built our own Home. The works that I could complete were completed in house by myself, and works that could not be down due to certification issues were sub- contracted out for completion. The following management tactics were employed throughout the complete build. Efficient time management skills. OH&S Techniques such as house keeping, PPE and Jobsite inductions for Sub-Contractor site access. Liaising with Suppliers and Manufacturers of various materials that were needed. Conducting Building works such as welding, electrical cable installation, waterproofing and Air-Conditioning works to name a few. The undertaking of owner building my own house was a great experience that was an eye opener to say the least. The amount of work that goes into the organisation of materials, plans, people and permits etc, is very time consuming and in-depth. We obtained our Certificate to Occupy at the end of last year but have only just placed the finishing touches to the property prior to Selling and moving Interstate.

Archerfield Brisbane
Machine operator: (Feb 1994- Nov 2004). Whilst employed with Lysaght, I worked on a rotating day, afternoon and night shift basis. I spent a great amount of time loading roll formed steel products onto trucks using forklifts and overhead gantry cranes. I also have experience in the operation of the Custom Orb, Trimdek roofing machines and Trimline gutter roll form machine. BlueScope Lysaght was second to none for safety and training, I learnt al/ about, teamwork, communication, occupational health and safety, safe lifting with overhead cranes and forklifts, quality assurance, first aid, and customer service to name a few. Being my job out of school, I believe the things that I have learnt gave me a great starting point for my working life.
