Owner of small business: I owned and operated Ballarat Removals & Storage. I managed a team of 12 staff and 4 heavy rigid vehicles. We packed and relocated business and residential furniture around Australia. A local business that provided a Removal service second to none. I pride myself on my expert communication and customer care, providing an ethical and transparent pricing structure, and providing a team of experts that exceeded our clients expectations. We also worked diligently to provide our staff with a safe, caring and supportive work environment. I streamlined all the office processes and updated our quoting/booking system. I customised local and interstate quotes, prepared accounts and directly sold a range of packing materials. We also specialised and sold transit insurance and offered an prepack service. My general duties included: Staff schedules/quoting and site visits/invoicing/handling account and banking functions/driving and truck maintenance. I also moved storage modules using a forklift and managed stock on hand. I am a skilled problem solver who is already ready for a challenge.

TELEPHONE ENGINEER: I started at BT as a Trainee Engineer learning all aspects of repair and maintenance of the telephone network. This involved new installations or repairs. After the introduction of ADSL, I moved into a specialised unit which maintained and helped to improve this new technology.
