About Me:

I'm Allan a 62yo male from New Zealand. I have been a stay-at-home dad for the past 28 years. I am returning to the workforce. I'm in good health I have good stamina and good mobility although I’m unable to lift heavy weights. I was born half deaf. I cannot hear consonants or high notes. Conversations in English both domestic and foreign especially are difficult to keep up with. When using Phones or just socialising - I can hear the voice but I’m not hearing the words. This leads me to guess which is often wrong and is embarrassing. My hearing loss has heightened my “Awareness” which I use for the safety of others and me. As a kid I had technical interests. I also became the "Go-for" for my mothers cooking business. As a home dad I did the usual tasks – cooking cleaning etc. Over the years I would enroll onto courses that captured my interest and what I felt I could do well in. I have a no nonsense no fuss get it done quickly right-first-time attitude and approach to everything.

    Full time Uber Driver: I hired a brand new SUV for the Ride sharing opportunities starting from out of Wyndham Vale up to five days a week. During Summer the days were too hot so I worked the evenings through to the next morning . Winter evenings were too cold and rides were fewer and the days were wet with dirty roads from constant trucks and vehicle cleaning costs were extra extra high. So I decided to stop and re-start again in Summer but Co-vid struck.
