Interstate driver hc: CTL had a range of trucks from bulk stock drop sides flat deck fertiliser spreaders tankers heavy machinery movers which ever was on the day i would alternate between trucks until the whey season was on then i would work spreading whey a by product from the milk factory fonterra which would be applied onto farmers paddocks seasonal for 8 months of the year on night shift 30,000 litres each load. I then went working general freight line haul on a flat deck as well as carting fertiliser in bulk trucks and drop sider work i then went to night shift curtain sider carting anything from food products to chemical on contract for Toll main freight and mainstream from Taupo to Auckland every night for 2 years before all this I worked as a tow truck driver picking up scrap cars for Adrian scrap metal then team towing on Gold Coast as well I love driving especially line haul night shift good on the forklift always got home every night prefer Road ranger not a fan of automatics spent hours in the yard perfecting backing skills loading correctly knowing where to disturb weight evenly pretty good with locating finding destinations correctly strapping chaining insuring products don’t get damaged time is money like to operate at fast pace as well as ensuring safety of each load I rarely went over my hours or had to stay from home because of running out of hours mechanical minded I also work as a truck tyre fitter helped out in the mechanic work shop if needed would always help other drivers if need be just keen to get back into what I love driving night shift
