    SHELL PRELUDE

    Production Technician: on Prelude in the Upstream area which covers the subsea wells up to gas supply to Acid Gas Removal, mostly as outside technician but also covering DCS coverage when required. I was part the Utilities team for the first 2 years in Korea. I was an active member of the Emergency Response Team onboard.

Duties involve outside process and utilities operations and Control Room operational duties (Rotational), start-ups, plant shut down and process optimization.

This lead to my roles offshore on FPSO's responsible for the operation of the process - including subsea well operations, 3 phase separation, turbine gas re-injection, plant control settings, chemical treatments, sampling and testing as well as minor plant maintenance. Both outside plant and control room duties (Rotational).

    PROCESS TECHNICIAN: As Process Technician I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of process in the Reactor operations, ore driers and feed in to the plant. The process reactors contained high volumes of hydrogen, natural gas, iron ore and various inert gases.

Responsible for supervising installation and loop checking of instrumentation, as well as the loop pack preparation and "As Built" of all the documentation on instrumentation. Assist KNS process engineers with interlock and logic control testing on DCS as well as commissioning of units. Quote Preparation, sizing of valves and sales of various Instrumentation with Fluid Controls. Migrated to Australia in January 1998

    COMMISSIONING SPECIALIST: COMMISSIONING SPECIALIST/SENIOR COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN. With "Commissioning Support Services Group" assisting Sasol as commissioning specialist in supervising contractors during stages of construction on Several projects, doing loop checking and commissioning of new Greenfield plants - Sasol Fibres, Alpha-Olefins and Acrilonitrate projects. These projects are all gas and chemical related refineries. I also assisted in producing electrical and instrumentation drawings on Auto-Cad.
