Security Officer: Liaise with clinical team leaders and other agencies such as Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Corrective Services, Queensland Police Services and Queensland Youth Justice Service to provide effective, safe and secure healthcare. Perform security control room operations including monitoring video surveillance cameras, security systems and communication platforms. (Phones, pager and radio network) Maintain team communications, incidents (RISKMAN) and shift logs (Report exec) Coordinate response to emergency incidents. Maintain control room systems and software. Assist in investigations via the video surveillance platform and shift logs/incident reports. Provide operational and technical support to management. Conduct handover brief with following Shift Supervisor at the start/completion of each shift. Patrol and protect physical assets and buildings. Conduct lock/unlock procedure. React to requests for assistance promptly and appropriately. Assist staff to locate missing patients and return them to the appropriate clinical area. Monitoring, restraint and control of non-compliant patients in Queensland Health custody under applicable legislation such as the Guardianship and Administration Act 2000, Public Health Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 2016. Monitor and control the flow of campus vehicular traffic and car parking. Issue parking notices in accordance with Authorised Officer status. Report any safety or maintenance issues encountered. Conduct daily duress audit of fixed and portable duress points. Provide an escort to staff, cashiers and others to car parks and around the facility. Participate in disaster and response exercises and training.
