About Me:

My name is Daniel and I have been working in transport for the past 5+ years as a combination float driver, tanker driver, and various others. Prior to transport, I was working in an information technology capacity for a number of companies in different fields. I have acquired many skills over this time including but not limited to: Multi Combination License Dangerous Goods License Elevated Work Platform License Forklift License (LF) MSIC Basic Fatigue Management Blue Card (aka White Card) Experience with machinery (excavator, skid steer, grader, loaders, rollers, backhoe) Various IT qualifications I am looking to work in a transport environment as a combination driver, doing local or country deliveries (the occasional overnight OK), in, heavy haulage, dangerous goods, or linehaul. I have no problems working long hours, night shifts etc and I would prefer a full time role, but part time is ok if there is a possibility of full time work later. Rates around $30+ p/h

    DXH Transport Pty Ltd

    Director: I am currently running my own business as a Director of DXH Transport Pty Ltd. Recently I have been contracting to Nationwide Towing and Transport as a float driver driving a Heavy Combination vehicle for the last 3 months. This has involved loading and unloading of machines including excavators, rollers, backhoes, bobcats etc. I have been doing local work and I am confident and capable of maneuvering a prime mover and trailer in narrow suburban streets. I am able to operate the above machines. I have also acquired a MSIC for access to the Port of Brisbane’s major ports. During this time I have had a contract with Kings Transport as a courier, during which time I was requested on multiple occasions from clients such as Coates Hire to be their main delivery driver. This involved safe transportation of goods, including the knowledge of securing loads, and being able to safely tow trailers and maneuver them into tight areas. I worked on major projects including the Airport Link Tunnel, and the second Gateway Bridge as it was winding down. I have had a contract with ELGAS as a driver delivering bulk LPG to clients over the north side of Brisbane, and Toowoomba and surrounding areas. I am confident in the safe delivery of dangerous goods, being able to drive trucks in a safe manner, and have experience with Basic Fatigue Management. I have 5 years of MR and HR experience in automatic and synchromesh gear boxes but have an open license.

    Mini Tanker driver: Freedom Fuels - April 2010 - April 2011 Freedom Fuels employed me in their IT department when I first started at the company which involved working in the office to support the desktop environment and also supporting the Point of Sale system at the store level. As the role involved a lot of driving and external office work, I realized that IT was no longer the work I wanted to be involved in and decided to make a change. After a discussion with the Transport Manager, I acquired my HR license, which I recently updated to MC, and then my Dangerous Goods license and started my new career in transport. I was employed as a Mini Tanker driver, delivering diesel over SE Qld and into NSW. I also filled in for one of the tanker drivers, delivering mixed fuels in a HR Scania, in the same area.
