  Independent Tippers

  Truck & Dog Tipper Operator: Independent Tippers November 2013 - Currently Employed Based in Chelsea Heights, Victoria Truck & Dog Tipper Operator At Independent Tippers I was responsible for my assigned vehicle and trailer. This included keeping the vehicle clean and well presented, as well as minor maintenance and informing the mechanics of any major work or services that needed to be carried out. On a typical day I would perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections, fill out and file any required paperwork, and operate a 3/4 axle dog trailer in a safe and professional manner to fulfil the customer's needs. The main company i was contracted out to was Boral, which required a very good knowledge of health and safety as well as fatigue management.

  Metropolitan Express

  Driver/Crane Operator: Metropolitan Express March 2013 - November 2013 Based in Sunshine, Victoria Driver/Crane Operator At Metropolitan Express I drove an HC Isuzu fitted with a HIAB 144Duo Crane. I was responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained as well as tying down and checking loads. I pulled 30 foot and 40 foot trailers loaded with steel reinforcing from ARC, and occasionally steel plates from Bluescope. While over dimension work wasn't common, it was still a part of my job and consisted of loads both over width, and over length. The crane I operated was solely to unload the trailer and place the product where the customer desired. On the odd occasion I would also operate a sideloader to unload transi-flats loaded with steel.

  Transaction Produce

  Driver: Transaction Produce November 2012 - March 2013 Based in Laverton North, Victoria Driver At Transaction Produce, I was employed as a driver to operate a Kenworth prime mover to tow 20-40 foot trailers from a range of depots and deliver chilled and dry goods to a variety of suppliers and distribution centres. This included reversing in to tight spots such as finger docks and trailer parks at port locations. I also towed retractable skels with loaded and empty 20-40 foot containers from port locations back to our depot in Laverton, and also to customers, where I helped to unload the containers when required with the use of a side loader. The job required me to be presentable and safe at all times, exercise excellent customer service as well as manage my time well to fit in to loading/unloading time slots.

  12 ton tilt operator: Nationwide Towing and Transport December 2010 - November 2012 Based out of depot in Dandenong, VIC 12 ton tilt operator At Nationwide, I had the opportunity to gain and develop my skills to a high standard in the role of a 12 ton tilt tray operator. Although I was employed predominantly as a 12 ton tilt tray driver, I also had exposure and experience in driving 4 and 8 ton tilt tray, and a small amount of time in a semi-trailer/machinery float. I have gained during my employment at Nationwide a strong knowledge of load restraints, safety procedures and those that Coates hire have in place, and loading various equipment and machinery. I also gained experience in operating a wide range of machinery including but not limited to access equipment, excavators, backhoes and earth compaction equipment.

  Labourer/Safety and First Aid officer: Mackie Pty Ltd November 2011 - April 2010 Sites Melbourne wide Labourer/Safety and First Aid officer At Mackie I was employed as a site labourer and safety and first aid officer. This role did however enable me to gain basic carpentry and plumbing skills, assist in the set up of scaffolding and the layout of the site. It was here that I also gained more knowledge of OH&S rules, regulations and procedures.

I also would pick and sort orders as well as receive stock.

  Storeman: Pak 'N' Save Food Warehouse October 2009 - December 2009 Wellington, NZ Storeman My role at Pak 'N' Save Food Warehouse saw me being responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks coming in and out of the warehouse, organising the warehouse stock and managing these levels as well as receiving all incoming stock.
