Responsible for industrial cleaning and housekeeping of offices, health care facilities, kitchens and retail outlets as well as communal and common rooms. Thorough and competent cleaning/disinfecting of toilet facilities, kitchen areas and storerooms, including sweeping, mopping and scrubbing, interior and exterior, sweeping and cleaning floors/pathways and safe removal of all waste and rubbish. Working within the laundry, ensuring all linens and work uniforms are washed, dried, folded and ready for redistribution with a quick efficient turn around. Specialised work including interior floor cleaning, dust control, carpet cleaning, duct and height cleaning as well as laundry services with competent and safe use of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals including industrial buffers. Contract cleaning; ensuring houses, industrial buildings and offices are thoroughly cleared and cleaned of in a thorough and timely manner. Maintain inventory, ordering and stock control for all facilities with needed equipment and supplies including kitchen, personal rooms and laundry areas. Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to the on-site health and safety officer. Assisting with other general cleaning and general administration duties, working spilt shifts and nights as required. Maintain current knowledge of all in-house training and workbooks and comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reporting.
