  Driving: 01/12/1989/90 Begasse Truck driver I worked for two seasons at a local sugar mill in Bundaberg as the bagasse truck driver. Duties included driving a rigid body tipper truck carting waste bagasse from the mill for storage for later use. A large part of the job was driving a front end loader to keep the fuel supply of bagasse going into the mill to keep the boilers well stocked of fuel.

Rio Tinto Pilbara Iron Ore (skilled recruitment, then Rio Tinto) Jan 09-Oct 09 I was employed as a dump truck operator. Duties included driving Komatsu 730E and 830E (400T gross weight) haul trucks carrying product from the pit to the various locations required by mine control. While there I was trained to operate the service truck which involved refuelling mobile equipment within the pit and servicing stationary pumping equipment within the pit. Rio Tinto operated on a 2 week on and 1 week off roster. I was employed at the Yandicoogina site on a FIFO roster.

I did four seasons as a semi tipper driver. Duties were driving semi trailer multi lift bins from the cane farm to the mill. This job gave me skills in roll on roll off sugar cane bins and also hoist on and tip off semi tipper bins using a tip over tri axle trailer. Occasionally I was required to operate 23m B double side tipper bins carrying raw sugar product .
