Boxsells Transport
Interstate Truck Driver: Heavy Vehicle operator (casual/part time). “Boxsell Transport Cootamundra”. This role has me driving a diverse range of trucks including Kenworth Cab over (18 speed), Argosy (18 speed) and the Stirling (18 speed/long bonnet) just to name a few. At Boxsell’s Transport our “loads” are just as varied with palletised sheep skins and salt being the main stay. We were called upon to transport farm equipment from combines and ploughs through to tractors and dozers along with various other pieces of machinery. Some required “over-sized” procedures.

Thommos Express
Interstate Truck Driver: Interstate Transport Operator “Thommo’s Express” The Rock Southern NSW. This role has proven to be interesting and fulfilling. I drove a 2000 model Peterbilt (10 speed) and 1997 Kenworth 601 (18 speed) covering the width and breadth of eastern Australia. My average weekly kilometres exceeded 5000 in total, this includes loading and unloading. I always maintain company vehicles in presentable condition, maintain vehicles as required and record/report any faults found. Time management was critical in this position, more so then any other position I have ever gained. I am absolute in obeying by the strict and sometime stringent regulations of the industry. In my 32 years of driving I have never been booked nor impounded for any breach whilst driving a heavy vehicle.

Southern Cross Truck Hire
Branch Co-ordinator: Branch coordinator (manager) for Southern Cross Truck Rentals. In this role I drove a wide and varied range of heavy vehicles from 2t pans, 12t rigids through to Kenworth, Iveco and Isuzu prime movers. Some were Automatics most were 18 speed road rangers. This role saw me solely responsible for the day to day operations. From initial enquiries and quotes through to allocation of vehicles. Along with daily logistics of transfers from Narellan and Beresfield In my time at SCTR the Newcastle branch increased the turn over almost 80%. A combination of cold calling, customer retention and following up leads and chasing quotes effectively.
