Achievements: §• Crane Operator on the first vessel worked in Australia by Hutchison Ports Australia §• Currently a Level 4 Stevedore performing multiple roles predominantly Vessel Shift Leader, and when required Team Leader and a Crane Operator §• Gained Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency (MROCP) §• Implemented work site safety procedures and best practise ANDREW ROBERTS MOBILE +61 (0) 401 623 528 Responsibilities: 2013 - Current §• Shift management of all operational personnel including preparation and delivery of toolbox briefings and addressing all safety issues with personnel or designated union delegates §• Liaising with the Operations Manager to forecast berthing position, crane assignment and labour requirements §• Ensuring efficient operation of the terminal by replacing and allocating labour where required §• Monitoring crane order of work via the Terminal Operating System (nGen & Guider) to provide seamless work flow and consistent crane splits optimising labour and resources §• Working with an automated stacking system, managing cargo to and from Quay Cranes whilst maintaining consistent truck turnaround times and satisfying landside customer expectations §• Coordinating with the National Planning Office and the vessel's Chief Officer to apply cargo stow changes for vessel requirements §• Coordinating the receipt, pick up and delivery of all cargo including over dimensional cargo and hazardous and explosive containers §• First point of contact to resolve and respond to queries and problems for crew, vessel agents, port authorities, vessel, security and emergency services §• Adjusting vessel sailing times and working closely with shipping agents to maximise vessel productivity to maintain a high level of customer service and reduce terminal costs §• Ensuring employee compliance with our Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, Stevedoring Industry Award, Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, Marine Orders Part 32 and addressing employee industrial relations concerns §• Completing vessel report including detailed information on shift performance as well as providing feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommendations to the Operations Manager §• Adhere to maritime security procedures and to identify and report on any issues or potential breaches §• Operating all onsite machinery and actively participate in training and familiarisation of personnel with all operational duties including: Shift Leader, Team Leader, Quay Crane Operation, Mooring Master, Reach Stackers, Automatic Stacking Cranes and Fork Lifts §• Dogging and Rigging heavy lifts §• Producing damage reports and completing assessments §• Completing incident reports whilst implementing safe working procedures including the organisation of drug and alcohol tests §• Participation in operational projects as they arise
