  Driver: Responsibilities: • Ensuring safe transport of perishable goods that are kept in refrigerated conditions. • Maintaining and ensuring goods are kept properly and checking it at regular intervals of time for their quality. • Making sure that the truck is equipped with temperature gauges, which are in a proper working condition. • Conducting safety control checks of temperature to ensure that the temperature does not drop below or rise above the optimum temperature in turn ruining the quality of food products. • Arrange specialist vehicle technicians for routine safety check and do these checks on my own during different intervals at the same time. • Organizing interviews for the company's HR department for new driver's recruits and select driver's on the basis of their driving record and skills. • Documenting all the required paperwork as per the transport association and other regulatory bodies. • Conduct safe unloading and loading of refrigerated goods into the trailer from the depot. • Recording and documenting the logs of kilometers travelled for every single delivery including the amount of gas consumption and trailer temperatures. • Maintaining a driving logbook record for ensuring the driving hours well within federal regulations governing the rest and work periods of no more than 12 hours at a stretch. • Reconciling and maintaining the record for vehicle inspections and ensuring at the same time that the truck is equipped with all the safety equipments. • Initiate planning of routes that are safe for delivering goods to their respective destinations and schedule runs for upcoming deliveries for the company's drivers. • Inspecting the fleet of trucks for defects and safe operations of the trucks during delivery shifts.
