Corporate Services Training Manager/Team Leader: September 2012 - December 2015 Corporate Services Training Manager/Team Leader C&I - QLD, Navitas, Brisbane QLD Position Role: * Effective management of the QLD Careers and Internships operations, to ensure it achieves its goals in terms of finances, participant recruitment, participant internship placements, operations, administration and program delivery. Responsibilities: * Contribute to business unit strategy in line with division objectives. * Contribute to sales strategies, policies and processes. * Development and management of internal and external relationships * Builds and implements processes to maximise sales in all C&I products, including training and coaching staff with these responsibilities. * Ensures strong relationships and management of key recruitment partners. * Provide market intelligence on the local area, including competitor analysis. * Effectively manage the state budget in terms of revenue and expenses. * Ensure programs are delivered using quality processes and achieving quality outcomes. Achievements: * Higher Responsibility - Performed additional duties beyond current level, demonstrating an ability to quickly learn computer based learning platforms such as Moodle, and Blackboard Collaborate to effectively coordinate the national Curriculum and Learning processes. * Reducing Expenditure - Identified opportunities to minimise office space allocation and work closely with other business units to reduce monthly expenditure by 50%. In conjunction with this effectively doubling enrollments from averaging 97 per year to 180 per year across FY15, with growth throughout FY16 to date. * Business Development - Extensive experience in developing new business opportunities, in particular negotiating and developing programs specific to an organisation, most notably QLD Government. * Promotion - Was promoted into the Team Leader role whilst still within the probation period of employment.

Department of defence (ARMY)
Transport Manager: January 2000 - December 2002 Transport Manager, Department of Defence (Army), Brisbane, QLD Position Role: * Directly managed six executive staff and supervised 30 other staff to provide logistic services. Responsibilities: * Coordinated the daily tasking requirements of the troop including allocating staff and vehicles to tasks. * Managed vehicles and equipment such as trucks, trailers, generators, field equipment and office equipment. Liaised with military and civilian maintenance organisations for the timely repair and maintenance of all vehicles and equipment. * Trained and assessed staff to ensure adherence to standards and sought opportunities to improve skills. Provided assistance with the development and review of all training packages. Achievements: * Operations Management - Successfully deployed to East Timor for a period of seven months. As the Transport Manager whilst deployed to East Timor planned and implemented the movement of two large size groups during the set up stage. Developed more effective means of logistic support to a group numbering approximately 1000 staff. * Maintenance Planning - Individually managed and maintained a fleet of vehicles and equipment totalling 72 items with minimal assistance from part time staff. * International Projects - Deployed on joint Australian-United States exercise in 2001 and achieved outstanding training outcomes. Previous Employment Prior to this held similar positions at Army Recruit Training Centre (Kapooka), Canberra and within various transport/logistics military elements. Duties included major training exercises; including an exercise in the USA, and coordination of major ceremonies such as ANZAC Day parades and dislocated training of part time staff.
