Senior Design Structural Draftsman: 02.08.2004 - 16.08.2009 Senior Design Structural Draftsman Tenix Defence Marine Division / BAE Systems Duties: • Work on design development for patrol vessel, with personnel of Aker Marine in Vancouver. • Produce 3D Model for Stern module of Patrol boat for New Zealand Navy, using "Ship Constructor". • Produce Build strategy and Assembly drawings for complete ship. Achievements: • Changed build strategy for stern module, so it is built in one piece, upside-down, starting with 1st deck and finishing it off on same jig. That way, yard has saved a lot of time and money required for bracing of proposed upper section of module. On completion, whole module was rotated and installed on the slipway.
