About Me:

Hi, my name is Scott Edwards. Prior to christmas I spent the last three years in the coal seam gas industry, FIFO. I was employed as an Electrical Trades Assistant. Main duties were driving bucket trucks and installing overhead and underground power. Since christmas I have been driving for Bidvest delivering food to hotels and restaurants.     Electrical Trades Assistant/WPHS Representative: Sept 2010 - April 2013 Electrical Trades Assistant/WPHS Representative WDS, FIFO Duties: • Installation of high voltage electrical cable. • Dogman/Working with cranes • Installation of electrical equipment to lease pads/gas wells • Installation of electrical fencing • Ensuring that all work complies with WPHS requirements. • Ensuring that safety documentation is kept up to date and is complaint with WPHS laws. • Ensured compliance with OH&S policies, procedures and legislations. • Planed and organised tasks to ensure completion within deadlines. • Read and interpret plans and specifications for the particular project. • Conduct general electrical labouring. • Deputy Chairman of the Safety Committee • Site inductions to new employees Roof Plumber - Leading Hand Stormguard Roofing Duties: • Managing administrative tasks including timesheets, negations for pay, RTW management, staff allocation, heading staff meetings, recruiting and terminating staff. • Serving as the leading hand for the reroofing crew. • Ensuring that all work complies with WPHS requirements. • Ensuring that safety documentation is kept up to date and is complaint with WPHS laws. • Liaising with the builder or owner to provide updates, manage expectations with regards to the work and ensure job satisfaction. • Conducting training, orientation and work coordination for apprentices and labourers. • Undertaking safe installation of scaffolding.
