  PRODUCTION OPERATOR (FIFO): Foxleigh Coal Mine The Foxleigh Coal Mine is a coal mine in Mackenzie River, Isaac Region, Queensland, and holds one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and the world. The position of Production Operator was on a Fly-In Fly-Out basis. Worked as part of a team on removing overburden to mine coal, operating a mix of Komatsu 785 and Cat 789- 793 in a shift basis to assist the site with meeting their production goals and targets. Conducted pre-start checks to ensure vehicle operated correctly and liaised closely with Middlemount South mechanical teams on any mechanical issues and requirements observed during operation. Helped with the shuttling of crews and staff around site (troop carrier). Attended all site toolbox meetings, and take 5's, ensuring site safety and compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, read and signed the job hazard analysis sheet (JHAs). Liaised with the site supervisor and site superintendent on work instructions, this would include setting of daily and weekly targets and objectives, and to provide managers with verbal updates.

  PRODUCTION OPERATOR (FIFO): Christmas Creek Mine The Christmas Creek mine is an iron ore mine located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Operations at Christmas Creek are combined with activities at Cloudbreak. The position of Production Operator was on a Fly-In Fly-Out basis. Operated Bucyrus 4000/ 4400, Komatsu 930E, Cat 789, Cat 777F water carts, Kenworth T359 8-wheel water cart/s, LVs & lighting tower plant, and Cat CP76/ CP663E pad foot and smooth drum rollers. Liaised directly with Supervisors and Leadings on planning activity for the day/week ahead. Ensured all work carried was in accordance with the safety management plan. Worked as Road Crew for a short period (on commencement at Christmas Creek Mine). Suggested improvements to existing racking system for carrying a larger number of delineation poles to be swapped out on haul roads, resulting in greater carry loads and more efficient supply. Acted as Mentor to more junior members of the team.
