Duties Included: ? Site Inductions which included, explaining to workers their obligations when on site and of the companies SOP's ? Workplace Inspections: These included daily inspections of the workplace to ensure the workplace was safe to operate which included MSDA updates posted as required ? Accident Reports which needed to be investigated to prevent company liability claims ? Incident Reports. All reports had to be documented and lodged with the relevant departments for a total safe environment. When necessary claims had to be lodged with Work Cover for the employee's and WHS Qld for more serious breaches again the company if necessary. ? Site Investigations were only conducted when companies felt a problem had occurred that deemed inappropriate for the safety of their workers at the time of the incidents. ? Vehicle Safety inspections for registrable and non registrable plant as specified by the manufactures specifications. ? Correct usage of Australian and New Zealand Standards which are stated in the Acts of 2006. ? Manual Handling Training given to all employees prior to commencement of their employment and signed off showing that they understood what was shown to them to help prevent the company falling liable to incorrect manual handling techniques ? Correct Usage of PPE. All PPE procedures were explained in the same principles as in the Manual Handling Training lessons with all signage posted around the workplace to enforce correct SOP's ? First Aid Officer and CPR Instructor. This is my requirement under the law of Qld Workplace Health and Safety requirements to operate.
