    Senior technician/ leading hand: Multiple roles - Senior Technician/Leading Hand Duties: o Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. o Complying with truck driving rules and regulations when test driving and delivering vehicles o Adhering to procedures in documenting travel, logging work/rest periods, km’s spent driving and retaining driving receipts, fuel, city link, weigh bridges when delivery trucks. o Conduct minor and major repairs such as engine, transmission and differential repairs and rebuilds o Connecting & disconnecting truck & trailers and maneuvering into loading and unloading positions o Carry out both minor and major installations of components and accessories along with modifications, for new vehicle fit-ups with the highest attention to detail o Up-hold top-quality workmanship and excellent customer service o Adhering to OH& S procedures and policies within a workshop o Carry out regular test drives to all types of vehicles from 5 tonne trucks to B-double semis loaded and unloaded for diagnostic purposes and verification of repairs o Time management skills o Extensive experience in using software diagnostics programs. o Recording and documenting repairs and complying with company procedures
