Storm Scaffolding
Yard Person/Truck Driver: • Prepares gear lists for scaffold jobs, using the forklift to move scaffolding parts prior to loading onto the trucks for delivery to the job site • Ensuing that the trucks are correctly loaded and do not exceed the weight limits for the MR or HR Truck • Providing advice to the supervisor when parts become low or are depleted • Processing the returns (scaffold material returning to the yard) • Moving the parts using the forklift and ensuring that they are stored correctly and safely in the yard in the correct location • Cleaning and painting the various scaffold parts to ensure that they always remain in good condition. • Driving either the MR or HR trucks delivering gear lists for current scaffold jobs, unloading the materials at the job site using the forklift. • Collecting material from completed jobs sites and unloading at the yard • When necessary dismantle scaffold on job sites when they are finalised • Some welding to repair scaffold equipment when required

Metal Fabricator Alloy and Steel/Welder (2nd class): • Mig and Tig Nissan bull bars from straight alloy channel to welding off pipework. Bending alloy material/channels, punching indicator and licence plate holes in the alloy material prior to the assembly of the channel, grinding/sanding ready for polishing. • Mig welding 38mm/44.5mm mild steel (connector pipe parts) for 4WD mining vehicles, roll bars etc (placing pipe onto angle/v type jig thus rolling pipe with left hand and mig welding with right hand. • Tig 2mm alloy (e.g. canopy rails) • Worked with stainless steel/mild steel (Tig and Mig) • Assisted the supervisor with research and development for pipework bullbars • Trimming pipework and mig welding off pipework for Custom Alloy bull bars ready for polishing • Tig up alloy toolboxes (DS/PS for ute trays) • Using the Plasma Cutter • Able to cut out damaged pipework to a very good standard on alloy bull bars etc and replace the damaged section by mig welding new pipe on the area.
