Logical Staffing
MC Truck Driver: Due to having custody of my children every second week, I had to give up full time work and have been working for Logical Staffing on a casual basis, both locally as well as carrying out Clybucca and Kempsey change overs and Toowoomba dog trailer runs. I have also been working for a number of container companies at the Port of Brisbane, including Gossows Transport operating both side loaders and B doubles.

TRUCK OPERATOR/WINCH TRUCK OPERATER: In order to gain experience in other areas of truck driving, I took the opportunity to work for Neil Mansell Transport as a winch truck operator. This entailed all aspects of assembly, disassembly, loading and transport of oil and gas drill rigs in the Cooper and Eromanga basins in south west Queensland and north east South Australia. The driving also involved the cartage of water, chemicals, bore casing and anything else associated with drill rigs on everything from bed trucks to triple-road-trains. Gulf transport
ROAD TRAIN DRIVER/SERVICEMAN: I started off at Gulf carrying out servicing and maintenance of their 8 or 9 triple side-tipper road-trains as well as refuelling and unloading 4 or 5 road-trains each day. The job also involved the daily servicing of the loaders used in Gulf's storage shed. Gulf then transferred me to their Halls Creek change-over station. This position involved driving 2 triple-road-trains each day from Halls Creek to Cadjebut Mine and back, loading zinc or lead concentrate. When Gulf shut down the shuttle they then transferred me to their Granites Gold Mine Operation (N.T.). This job involved loading and carting Gold ore in a triple road train on a 40km lead.
