  Fcl/Ecl Dispatcher: Tapper Transport Fcl/Ecl Dispatcher 03/2012-Current The largest Container transport company in New Zealand I am currently the Fcl dispatcher. I dispatch any where upto 15 trucks per day with a turnover of up to 200+ containers a day. Key Responsibilities Dispatching 15 trucks per 12 hour shift. Making sure that containers are delivered by the required time. Assisting the operations team. Coordination of the 3 wharfs in Auckland as well as our hub and inland metroport Facility. Making sure all exports meet required cutoffs. Monitoring drivers hours and making sure they have their required breaks. A small exposure to tankers as Tappers have 2 tankers that do work for timber mills.

  Dispatcher: Fliway Transport / UPS United parcel service 03/2011 - 03/2012 Dispatcher Ups United parcel service/Fliway dispatch. In this role I am dealing with two companies who are in a joint venture. Key Responsibilities Looking after a fleet of fifteen vehicles Assisting ups customer service Assisting ups operations team Making sure all ups deliveries are done for the greater Auckland area Making sure all ups pallets are delivered by the truck fleet Making sure all ups pick up's are done in a timely manner for export Keeping the Auckland ups delivery fail rate consistently under the 2.75% world fail rate set by ups To make sure the fleet is approved for international freight pick up and that they can enter bonded areas Assisting Fliway customer service Making sure all general freight is delivered and picked up To make sure all vehicles and log books are up to standard Keeping vehicles maintained and organizing replacement vehicles when needed. Assisting 2 truck dispatchers where required as they are new to their roles. Keeping the Auckland DIFOT at 95% or better

  Workshop Forman: Fastrack Compliance 05/2010 - 03/2011 Workshop Forman As workshop Forman I was an assistant to the manager, my main duties were to open and close the workshop daily. To undertake all processing of paperwork required for all vehicles entering compliance. I also had to supervise the workshop when the manager was absent consisting of approximately 15 employees.

  CEVA Vehicle Logistics

  Fleet coordinator: Ceva Vehicle Logistics 08/2009 - 03/2010 Fleet coordinator Being the Second largest vehicle logistics company in Australia and one of the largest logistics companies worldwide. Working within this role I was mainly responsible for the day to day delivery and pickup of all motor vehicles within the Perth Metro area up to 200 vehicles a day. Also the lockup of the depot at the close of business and supervising of staff when required which included most afternoons. Assisting the operations manager and acting as a stand in operations manager when required. By helping with the bulk fleet and line haul. Making phone calls to drivers/customers and doing admin. Keeping good Kpi's by keeping good delivery times within the Perth metro area. (Example) my Lexus account for Perth went from 47% to 97% in the first month of me being in the role. Driver Fatigue, making sure the drivers keep to their legal driving hours and that the correct paperwork was filled out. Managing the fleet maintenance which was generally the role of the operations manager but I was fully conversed to organize some repairs and checks also making sure the fleet were doing their daily checks. I also had to learn a whole new in house computer system which Ceva Logistics use worldwide called Facts.

  Air Freight Assistant: Startrack Express 01/2009 - 07/2009 Air Freight Assistant One of the largest general and air freight companies in Australia, this roll included pick up and sorting of airfreight for Western Australia for delivery. I had daily contact with customers being depot collections or deliveries in any of the 30+ runs that I was also a relief driver for. Assisted with driver queries, (example) wrong address or directions if needed as I have a wide knowledge of W estern Australia.

  Managing director: Business Express Couriers 11/2007 - 12/2008 Managing director Involved running my own business, with assistance from my partner who ran the books which gave me time to coordinate the day to day operations. This included training of drivers, visiting clients and prospective clients. Making sure everything was done on time and to my satisfaction. I had to come up with my own pricing structure and areas for the runs within the Brisbane metro area.

  Dispatcher/Operations: Sub 60 Couriers 08/2003 - 11/2007 Dispatcher/Operations A small family owned business on the Gold Coast I was the dispatcher of around 20 vehicles. This involved using the specialized courier dispatch and booking system hub systems. As well as dispatching I would also book jobs and take customer queries when the phones were busy. I did all my own driver queries and would go out and assist on the road when required.

As well as dispatching I would take over flow on the phones booking jobs and answering queries. Was responsible for opening and closing the office depending on which shift I worked.

  Dispatcher/operations: Action Couriers 07/1999 - 08 - 2002 Dispatcher/operations One of the larger courier companies in Perth I was one of two main channel dispatchers dispatching to around one hundred vehicles. This role also included taking overflow on the phones booking customers jobs and taking queries. I also used to do driver queries as well would lock up and open when required. W ithin this role for a time I used to have the afterhours phone which would entitle me to book jobs after hours and take and solve any other queries that there might be. I also used to run the Saturday dispatch by myself here.

  Dispatcher/operations/contracto: Sub 60 Messenger 1996 - 1999 Dispatcher/operations/contracto r This was an entry level role starting here as a driver I quickly progress to being one of the top earners for this at the time being Auckland's largest express courier company. I was the offered a position as a dispatcher in the office one of 5 at the time dispatching to anywhere up to 200 vehicles per day. This was a very 'hands on' role which was challenging and busy most of the time. Due to this role it gave me a very extensive knowledge of Auckland and the greater surrounding regions. Also learning t he in house computer system.
