HC long distance driver required Work is with a 48ft drop deck or 46ft drop deck low loader widener trailer with bi fold ramps fitted.
Machinery, trucks, farm equipment, excavators, dozers and forklifts are just some of the items we carry. You will have previous experience in load restraint, in particular straps and dog&chain.
A sound mechanical knowledge of trucks is highly desirable, as is the ability to problem solve on the road.
Trucks are all Ivecos, with the oldest being a 2014 model, all powered by Cursor 13 engines and ZF AMT.
Paying well above award rates with all loading and unloading paid, in return for more than a driver, you will be part of a small team and need to share the dedication and passion to see the business grow.
Great communication when liasing with customers is essential. You will be responsible for contacting clients, arranging pick up and delivery times and are expected to keep clients informed of any delays. The ability to communcate with other staff and management is also essential.
This is non express work, with a huge variety of loads and runs, you`ll never do the same thing twice. Drivers are encouraged to manage fatigue as they see fit. We have a 1 driver – 1 truck policy and you will be towing the same trailer 99% of the time.
Trucks are maintained to an extremely high standard, are fitted with bullbar and driving lights, fridge, bunk cooler and inner spring mattress.
Job is long distance with the yard based in Yass, on average drivers do between 4500km and 5000km per week and we would anticipate you being away 5 nights a week, but may vary.
