Job Summary:

We are seeking professional interstate and local drivers to join our rapidly expanding fleet.

Hume Transport is a local family owned business and we are expanding, if you are based in areas surrounding, Goulburn, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Albury, Sydney and anywhere in-between and want a full time or casual position give Mary a call.

The ideal applicants will have:

HC / MC licence
Ability to drive safely
High level of concentration and rapid reflexes
Patience and resistance to stress
Flexibility
BFM or willing to obtain

Drivers transport goods by road, supervise the loading of goods onto their vehicle to ensure it is carried out correctly, and in some cases may assist with the process. They are required to adhere to all aspects of Chain of Responsibility in the transport industry. You are required to;

Perform a daily vehicle inspection at the start of each trip.
Abide by workplace health and safety directives.
Reporting all vehicle faults to the Operations in accordance with the Fault Reporting and Recording Procedure
Maintain accurate details of all driving and working hours
Comply with all current road rules and laws
Presenting free from alcohol and drugs, well rested and fit and ready for work;
Reporting all fatigue related incidents and accidents
Work in accordance with the business’s policies on speed limiting, mass dimension and load restraint, speed management and driving hours, fitness for duty and drugs and alcohol
