Job Description :
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Transport cattle in accordance with the NSW Livestock Loading Scheme, JBS Australia Livestock Transportation Requirements and Animal Welfare Guidelines
- Efficient operation of the Prime Mover and associated equipment
- Complete daily pre-start checks on vehicles before operating \\
- Ensure compliance with all Road Transport Requirements COR and National Heavy Vehicle
- Operate under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
- Ensure compliance with OH&S and Environmental Regulations
- Ensure compliance with Road Transport Requirements and Laws
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety Requirements
About you:
- Current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s License
- Minimum of Two Years’ Experience as an MC Driver
- Sound Traffic History Report (Last 5 Years)
- Sound Livestock Handling Skills
- Hold Basic Fatigue Management Certification or willing to obtain
- Must have a good work ethic and be physically able to ascend/descend ladders/stairs and undertake in manual labour loading and unloading cattle at various facilities
- Knowledge of the above locations would be an advantage
- Will consider limited experience transporting livestock but must have livestock handling experience.
- Must be able to work across a 7-day period including weekends
