Full job description:
NSBC Group is seeking a reliable and proactive Yard Person to join the Bus & Coach Operations team based in Chullora. This is a casual position within a 24-hour operation, offering varied shifts across mornings, evenings, and weekends. For the right candidate, there is a pathway to transition into a full-time role after approximately 6–7 months based on performance and operational needs.
Key responsibilities:
– Safely move and position buses within the depot yard
– Assist with daily fleet preparation and yard organisation
– Support operations with vehicle movements as required
– Act as a scatter driver, assisting drivers in the field when required (for example transporting replacement vehicles or responding to breakdowns)
– Maintain a safe and organised yard environment
– Communicate effectively with operations and maintenance teams
About you:
– Hold a Driver Authority Card (DAC) – essential
– Valid MR or HR driver’s licence preferred
– Ability to work varied shifts within a 24/7 operation
– Comfortable driving large vehicles and operating in a depot environment
– Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
– Reliable, flexible and able to respond to operational needs
