machine operator / truck driver j. mathews pty ltd | lower light, south australia if you like big gear, loud engines, and getting sh*t done — we’ve got a seat with your name on it. this is hands-on work — trucks, skid steers, straw, dust, and long days that fly when you’re moving. no suits. no city traffic. just solid work, good gear, and a crew that’s got your back. about us we’re j. mathews pty ltd, a family-run operation that keeps south australia’s chicken farms running smooth. we clean out sheds, haul litter, cut and spread straw, and keep the agricultural wheels turning. you’ll see our trucks and gear all over the adelaide plains — clean, reliable, and on time. we take pride in doing things properly — the first time — and in looking after our team like family. about you you’re the kind of operator who: knows your way around a truck, loader, or skid steer — and keeps them clean and greased. can work unsupervised and still hit your targets. takes pride in leaving a site cleaner than when you rolled in. talks straight with customers and gets the job done without fuss. doesn’t need babysitting — just a plan and a decent machine. you’ll be working in and around poultry farms, so a clean record, good hygiene habits, and respect for biosecurity rules are non-negotiable. what you’ll need hc licence (min) – mc preferred. proven experience driving trucks and operating machinery. strong safety focus and mechanical awareness. reliability, initiative, and a solid work ethic. happy to travel between farm sites as required. why work with us full-time, permanent role — steady year-round work. competitive pay based on experience + overtime. modern, well-maintained fleet and gear. tight-knit crew — no cowboys, no egos. based at lower light – home most nights.
