    The Role The driver’s job is to deliver goods to customers in & around Auckland with some trips to nearby centres. The driver will pick stock & load it onto the truck & then deliver goods. A C2 licence to drive a MR truck is essential As the driver is representing the company it is expected that the job will be completed accurately, efficiently & with respect to all of our customers. When not driving the employee is expected to assist with packing goods that will be delivered by outside transport companies. As a part of the packing of stock to be delivered either outside Auckland or within it is expected that this person will (if necessary) fill out con notes, pallet receipts & print off invoices & other paperwork to complete the delivery of items. General: It is not envisaged that the driver has a complete knowledge of products or the business. The company does not want the driver providing inaccurate information to customers. The driver is not to give specific advice regarding company policy, equipment, or on any area outside of that person’s expertise. All but the most basic of enquiries should be passed onto head office or the Supervisor. Known information such as delivery times, the number of items in a carton & so forth should be communicated to customers if asked. The driver will at all times behave in a respectful manner. This includes towards customers, other drivers on the road & all bystanders in the performance of his duties. If the driver encounters a problem with a customer or bystander while performing duties then the Driver should contact the Supervisor for advice, who will in turn contact the Melbourne office for advice if considered appropriate. Cleaning of trucks & warehouses will be completed on a rotational basis.
