6x MC DRIVERS-23470 ( Legend Logistics )

The role will be responsible for the safe and effective movement of a variety of loads, including various concrete precast panels – requiring dog and chains, on equipment ranging from single loads through to B-Double and A-Double combinations.

There is increasing consistent work and shifts for the Westgate Tunnel project, plus other contracts and adhoc work, involving interstate runs.

We run 24 hours over day, afternoon and night shifts to meet the demand of our expanding workload.  

With consistent casual and full time shifts available due to this contracted work. Where roles are available now.

We are offering advancement within the Driver role itself, to also extend into yard operations and take on more senior roles.

THE COMPANY

Reporting to the Transport Manager: –

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: including but not limited to-

• Safe transport of all loads, adhering to all road and permit rules, and best driving practices.
• Ensure load is securely loaded, and checked, without assumptions
• Follow all pre-checks
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and report all maintenance issues promptly
• Follow all directions and expectations in the driver handout.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean inside and out.
• Complete all required paperwork correctly and forward to management on time.
• Present yourself, vehicle and load professionally to our clients at all times.

 KEY COMPETENCY AND SKILLS: including but not limited to:-

• Valid MC license is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years general experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for the transport industry.
• Exceptional and clean driving record.
• Experience using dogs and chains preferred, but not essential
• Ability to be flexible and work in a constant change environment, especially as we are expanding rapidly
• Competent with OH&S rules and regulations.
• Previous exposure to a BFM environment will be advantageous but not essential.
• Work positively with the team to foster a positive culture.
