Australians are relying on Australia Post and StarTrack more than ever, and we’re rapidly changing how we work to keep Australia on the move. Australia Post is hiring people to work afternoons to help us process the record volumes of parcels to Australians all over the country.

Our afternoon Van Delivery Driver shifts start at 3pm, finishing at 8pm, which makes them perfect for people juggling home-schooling during the day, or those who are studying. You’ll be showcasing your excellent driving skills as you drive around, delivering packages. You’ll be the face of Australia Post, helping make sure that Australians get their mail as fast as we can. You’ll have independence on the road, taking pride in providing a trusted, and critical, service to our customers. Our Van Delivery Driver roles are physical work and involve loading and delivering parcels up to 16kg, repeatedly throughout the day. It’s the next best thing to getting into the gym, while the gyms are closed.

You’ll be:

• driving vans safely and efficiently deliver mail articles to customer premises.
• completing the relevant documentation associated with the delivery of mail articles which includes using our hand-held RF scanners.
• professional, with a courteous attitude. As a visible Australia Post representative, Van Drivers must display courtesy whilst driving and in all contact with customers and members of the public.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Must be able to lift up to 16kg of mail on a repetitive basis.
• Be flexible for additional hours, changing shift times and changing locations.
• You’re safety-conscious – safety is one of our core values here
• You’re someone we can rely on – we all pitch in to help each other and make sure the job is done, every time.
• You’re willing to work hard in a critical role to keep Australia on the move.
• Van drivers must hold a current Full Drivers Licence (for relevant state or territory) and be prepared to provide a full driving history report.
• You’ll have a sound knowledge of current state or territory road rules, regulations and awareness of relevant road networks with the ability to interpret a street directory and aptitude to learn and r
