Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights
Early mornings. Finished before your day really begins.
While most people are still asleep, a small team is already out in open paddocks preparing hot air balloons for flight. It’s calm, outdoors, and different every morning. You’re part of a ground crew helping launch and recover balloons across the Ipswich region.
We are currently looking for 1–2 Casual Driver & Balloon Ground Support Crew members.
This is hands-on, early morning work (around 4–6am starts, finishing mid-morning). Shifts are typically 3–4 hours, 3–4 days per week depending on weather and flights.
What you’ll be doing:
– Driving MANUAL 4WD vehicles with long trailers
– Assisting with balloon setup, inflation, pack-down and recovery
– Supporting passengers and working with a small operational team
– Helping ensure safe and smooth flight operations
What we’re looking for:
– MANUAL driver’s licence (essential)
– Comfortable driving 4WD and towing a trailer
– Physically capable and reliable
– Able to follow procedures and work independently once trained
– Good communication and awareness on the ground
– Ability to meet aviation safety requirements (Drug & Alcohol DAMP compliance) and early morning fatigue requirements
Based in Ipswich.
