Aircraft Refueller/HC Driver, This is a unique position as a HC driver/ Refueller during the bushfire season in WA, NSW and ACT.
HELICOPTER REFUELLERS
SYDNEY | CANBERRA | PERTH LOCATIONS
This is quite a unique job, it’s a Stand-by job so you don’t actually work (your still paid!) unless your needed. Drivers/Refueller’s are essentially part of a firefighting crew, so you just wait for fires. Candidates will be required to be on stand-by for 100 days starting about late October to early April.
-upto $400 per/day
-Share(crew) house supplied
-Company car (if you would like to use your own car fuel will be supplied)
-All work-related expenses reimbursed (flights, training, travel, PPE)
-Contract is for 100 days straight however time off can be arranged with notice. I know 100 days seems like a long time without time off, but candidates must remember that 80% of days are spent on “stand-by”, watching TV/movies etc.
Drivers MUST have (or willing to obtain)
-HC Semi Licence
-Dangerous Good’s Licence
-18 Speed Road Ranger Experience
-Comfortable driving a semi in traffic (This is highly unlikely to happen but better to have the skill)
– Candidates will be required to keep very accurate paper records
-this is a customer service role; candidates MUST BE HAPPY AND APPROACHABLE!
All other training will be on the job.
For the right candidate there is a full-time role, on call Australia wide with a guaranteed 12 week holiday, available for $60,000 per year.
