I am looking for drivers for my small fleet of semi side tippers based in Brisbane CBD.
We are a small business that values straight talk and hard work.
Your job is simple: To operate my semi-side tippers safely, effectively and efficiently which includes some regular basic light maintenance.
My job is to ensure you have everything you need to do your job.
The position is casual but obviously we aim to work whenever possible including weekends if you are interested. The work is mostly around the greater Brisbane area. You are paid a flat hourly rate starting from first load to last tip. If we get paid travelling, you get paid travelling. Occasionally we get jobs in regional centres. If you’re working away from home, accommodation will be provided. You are not expected to sleep in the truck.
A lot of our work is weather dependent. If it’s a rain day, work may be available attending to any outstanding maintenance issues but when the work runs out, we stand down.
You will be allocated one truck to operate and will stay with it for the majority of the time. Once we match a driver to a vehicle, we rent a secure parking place as close to the driver’s home as possible. You will be expected to do some light maintenance (greasing etc) as well as your daily startup checks. The truck is equipped with a Fuel Card, small tool kit, 12 metre airline, tyre inflator, grease gun, cartridge grease amongst other things. The drivers are not expected or permitted to do mechanical or electrical repairs. Tyre maintenance is carried out by a contractor.
