About the Business and the Role:

Norman Carriers now has in excess of 65 years experience in the transport, general freight and wharf cartage sectors. This has laid the foundation stones for the establishment of a professional, efficient and customer service orientated western suburbs transport company.

The Norman Carriers brand is well established and well respected amongst our clients, colleagues and general community. We take great pride in the appearance of our fleet and representatives. Our trucks are clean, up to date, very well maintained and highly regarded.

Due to growth within our company we are looking to welcome new members into our team.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

– We are offering positions to drivers holding either a heavy combination license (HC) or multi combination license (MC).

– We run a fleet of Freightliner prime movers equipped with auto-gearbox.

– Due to recently moving to paperless, all drivers will be issued with a tablet from which they will receive notification for their next job.

– Drivers are able to choose to work additional hours/overtime where work is available – full penalty rates are applicable and we do offer our drivers RDO’s.

Skills and Experience:

– Must hold a current VICTORIAN drivers licence, and supply a 5 year VicRoads history report

– Must be reliable, punctual and have a good work ethic

– Sideloader/crane operation experience is highly advantageous but is not imperative

– Tautliner experience is advantageous but is not imperative

– MSIC card is also advantageous but is not imperative

– Experience within the transport industry is again advantageous but not imperative
