Nippon Express Australia based in Mascot have a great opportunity for an experienced heavy vehicle truck driver with a clean driving record to undertake local deliveries & pick-ups across Sydney Metro region & run to & from Sydney airport.
Reporting to the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will have excellent attention to detail, be a conscientious focused & reliable team player who enjoys & thrives on the challenge of meeting delivery deadlines in a busy transport & logistics workspace.
This is a 12-month (38hr week) fixed term contract with strong possibility of permanency during this duration. Working hours Mon-Friday 38hrs per week, must be available & willing to work every 2nd weekend either on a Saturday or Sunday for 4-6hours. (overtime)
Role details
- Safe Operation of a Hino, 7 speed manual truck (HR) 14 pallet.
- Daily Metro deliveries & pick-ups.
- Solid understanding of NSW Road Network and Sydney Metro areas
- Truck loading / restraining.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy state
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any required maintenance.
- Demonstrate a safety-first commitment
- Warehouse Manual Handling ability
- Treat customers/public in a courteous, professional manner
What you need
Solid HR truck driving experience with a clean driving record. You will need to be safety focused, with a good knowledge of Sydney Metro area, a strong reliable work ethic & high level of physical fitness and willingness to perform manual handling & forklift driving when required.
- Current Heavy Vehicle licence (HR)
- Manual transmission HR experience
- Forklift licence (LF)
- Be able to supply your driving history/record
- Load restraint and gating/strapping experience
- Physically fit, warehouse/forklift & manual handling duties
- Be a conscientious team player with a positive attitude
- Strong & reliable work ethic
- Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (Digital Certificate)
