We are seeking a committed Health & Safety Business Partner to support operations across South Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in high-risk environments, enjoys working closely with operational teams, and is eager to help drive a strong safety culture.
The role involves leading initiatives to improve safety systems, processes, and performance. You will participate in safety committees and contribute to strategic safety planning.
Essential qualifications include a tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline, experience in high-risk industries such as transport, logistics, rail, or heavy vehicle operations, strong background in incident investigation and risk assessment, excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, and a solid understanding of WHS legislation, RSNL, CoR, and NHVR requirements.
Desirable qualifications include additional certifications in safety auditing, risk management, or environmental management.
The ideal candidate is passionate about health and safety with a proactive mindset, strong influencing ability to mentor and guide teams, resilient, adaptable, and able to operate confidently under pressure. They should be a collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships, is detail-oriented, and demonstrates high levels of integrity and accountability.
Working conditions include a mix of office, field, and operational site environments, requiring mobility across various work sites and physical capability for inspections and fieldwork. The role provides a company-provided laptop and mobile phone.
