Logistics / Freight Coordinator: Manage consignments, provide customer service, and coordinate freight bookings.
We are working with a well-established and reputable transport and logistics company that delivers efficient and reliable freight solutions across Australia. This company is known for its focus on customer service, operational excellence, and creating a supportive workplace for its team. We are looking for a Logistics / Freight Coordinator to join their Perth team. This role will focus on managing incoming and outgoing consignments while providing professional and efficient support to customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients
- Manage and schedule freight bookings to align with customer delivery requirements
- Ensure load weights and dimensions comply with vehicle limitations
- Maintain accurate time slot schedules, highlighting and explaining any missed bookings
- Assist with processing client paperwork from incoming freight manifests
- Liaise with customers to resolve queries related to incoming and outgoing freight
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally
- Support effective communication across all levels of the business
- Assist managers and team members as required, including back-loading manifests
About You:
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Cert III in Customer Service
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service or a similar role within the logistics industry
- Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience using SAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
