Sloan’s Livestock are happy to train you in safe and efficient livestock handling and transport.
Sloan’s Livestock is looking for a dedicated professional to become a pivotal part of our team. As a small family-owned company nestled in the picturesque Gemfields, just west of Emerald. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and integrity to our clients. Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
Sloan’s Livestock has been operating for 15 years and runs a fleet of Kenworth trucks. We have an onsite workshop with qualified mechanics. Company operates AFM, under NHVR.
Over the 15 years we have trained numerous MC operators to be livestock carriers. We also offer a variety of accommodations properties included in salary package. These accommodations are located on the property or in neighbouring town Sapphire.
Position: Full-Time MC Truck Driver
Location: Central Queensland, Gemfields West of Emerald
Salary: Competitive annual salary paid weekly, complemented with a monthly kilometre bonus that includes higher rate for weekend work. Annual and sick leave as per FWA.
Responsibilities:
Transporting primarily beef cattle mainly across Central and North Queensland but also includes work from the middle of NT and the top of NSW.
Handling a small amount of machinery transportation with a 50t float and drop-deck.
Occasionally involved in hay and general freight operations

Requirements:
Valid MC license with a clean driving record
Medical for AFM preferred
Ability to handle machinery and equipment safely
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and environments
