MR Driver in the metropolitan area ( Austwest Towing & Salvage )

We are looking for a new team member. Our main office is in South Fremantle and this is the yard the successful applicant will be working from. At this stage we are looking for someone to work 3-5 shifts a week (includes some night and weekend work)
Duties involved in this role include;
– Driving a manual MR truck in the metropolitan area
– Loading and unloading vehicles
– Tying down vehicles are per company and industry standards
– Completing basic paperwork, including pricing invoices
– Photographing vehicles
– Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone
– Basic cleaning and maintenance of the truck
– Other miscellaneous tasks as required
The successful applicant MUST;
– Hold a MR licence or heavier
– Have current police clearance
– Live local to South Fremantle
– Speak clear fluent English
– Be physically capable
– Be willing and able to work at least 1-2 on call overnight shifts a week
– Be willing an able to work alternative weekends
– Be willing to learn
– Have a can do attitude
– Are able to work both as part of a team and as an individual
– Are punctual and relaible
Applicants will be looked upon favourably if they have experience driving within the metro area, a basic knowledge of cars, worked in a similar role in the past and/or are willing to come in for overflow work when required.
All applications are welcome though if you do not meet the basic requirements of a MR licence, police clearance and living local to South Fremantle (within 25 minutes) you will not be considered for the position. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Our team is a second family to us so although we hope to start some one on 11.06.2020 we will continue to interview people until we find the right fit.
