The Opportunity
We currently have a position available for motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our busy team at catering unit in Perth (dC), on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
Loads and unloads trucks with carts, ovens and standard units
Performs driving duties (short distance)
Preparation and packing of catering equipment
Liaises with airlines staff and hand over delivery
Communicates in a professional and courteous manner
Maintains the company’s policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, food safety and WHS in accordance with company policy
Responsible for marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company / airport / airline policies
Carries out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refueling of vehicles
Performs administrative documentation and reporting duties as required
Follows up on any discrepancies and ensures that flight is correct
General cleaning duties
Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands
Selection Criteria
A current MR or HR driver's license preferable
Must hold a current Fork Lift license
Must have a First Aid Certificate
WHS qualifications preferred yet not essential
Flexibility in regards to working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
A satisfactory police record required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks
