TRUCK DRIVER/ YARDS PERSON ( Murin Travel & Freight Services )

• MC Licence (essential)
• Forklift Licence (essential)
• Machine Operator experience (preferred but not essential)
• Previous driving experience
• Previous transport / freight experience
• Available for remote work and overnights on a weekly basis
• Able to pass drug & alcohol test

• Drive vehicle combinations to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Hook and unhook trailers from prime movers or lead trailers (B doubles) including maneuvering into place
• Load and unload trailer either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight
• Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips
• Submit pre-trip Inspections and if required Vehicle Defect reports on truck and trailing equipment prior to commencing shift
• Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Load, unload and accept freight at our East Arm Depot

• Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
