As part of the AWM team you are responsible for:

- Promote occupational health and safety within an organisation and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
- Ensure that workplaces conform with organisational procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is being used in workplaces according to regulations.
- Ensure the organisation is aware of and complies with all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities and the use of plant, equipment and vehicles.
- Record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues within the workplace.
- Assist with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action.
- Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practises and legislation's.
- Communicate frequently with Management to report on the status of occupational health and safety programs.
- Develop and maintain occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals.
- Provide driver training and inductions as necessary.
- Ensure general tidiness of warehouse and vehicles. Eg: Remove rubbish, tidy up packing and post bench, store items away.
- Maintain spare stock in all vehicles. (Wheels/Axles/Stickers/Pins/Keys/Tools)
- Maintain stock levels and provide Management with stock takes.
- Clean up and maintain a general tidiness to all vehicles and warehouse.
- Assist with Transport Manager where required. (Inclusive of both delivery and removal of bins
- Provide customer service as needed (inclusive of walk-in customers, phone calls and emails)
- Provide back-up assistance for various collection cycles when needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-job training if applicable
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work as part of an integrated team
- Support and implement company policies and procedures
- Attend company meetings when required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of basic Computer systems
- Knowledge of company occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Experience in driving and emptying various recycling bins.
- Experience in picking and packing orders
- Problem solving skills necessary
