About the Role

Due to the attainment of a new contract, Centurion Transport are currently searching for Specialised Dangerous Goods Driver to join our team based at our Kalgoolie on a full-time basis who will be responsible for the transportation of specialised Class 1 products to our customer specified sites in a safe manner, ensuring our suppliers and customers commitments are met on schedule.

Duties

• Loading and unloading of specialised dangerous goods
• Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
• Carrying out vehicle pre-start checks
• Conforming to all Dangerous Goods regulations and legislation
• Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner to and from customer sites and depots
• Ensuring all freight loaded matches the paperwork

Skills and Experience

• Current MC License, DG License and SLP
• Experience in B Double and Road Train
• Explosive Transport License
• Dangerous Goods experience, short and long haul
• Safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
• A sound knowledge of road transport legislation and operation
• Advanced Fatigue Management compliance
• Excellent work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions
• Experience working across remote locations
• Safe work behaviour’s
• Willing to work on other tasks during quieter periods – general freight and/or Ammonia tanker work.
