Job Summary:

Cartage Australia is a privately owned business from humble beginnings. We are the leader in the cartage of sand and quarry products, and we are on a fast upward growth trajectory.

We are looking for individuals who – 

• Will work at the Devon meadows site.
• Hold a current HC or MC licence
• Have a good understanding of COR legislation and the driver’s responsibility in the chain
• Are skilled in driving and reversing double trailers/tippers
• Are committed to safety and safe work practices
• Are reliable with a mature approach to driving
• Have a clean driving record
• Can work 60-72hrs per week 
• Have Covid-19 Vaccination

A summary of the role – 

• Daily pre-start checks
• Load from selected Quarries and deliver to the relevant customer, and check delivery dockets
• Maintain daily run sheets
• Maintain log books

• Concrete plant deliveries (Sand and Aggregates)
• Quarry demand work
• Government projects

Vehicles:

Our fleet compromises of 90 late model Volvo FM 500s

• 6 Axle Dogs
• 5 Axle Dogs
• 4 Axle Dogs
• 6 Axle Side-Tippers

Western and Eastern suburb depot locations – Tipper training provided

As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate to a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol test.
